2007 SLS Cup Champion Dutch Roll

In an official ceremony held in late September at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, 2007 SLS Cup Champion Dutch Roll was awarded with the SLS Cup amongst a (not so) packed house.

Along with Dutch Roll, fellow Rotoff Golf league members Shlink Lincoln and Gorilla Biscuits were in attendance.  It was the cap on a dominating season by Dutch Roll and his team MVP Tiger Woods, that included two major wins (The Masters and U.S. Open) and the 2007 Money List title.

After a slow start, Dutch Roll grabbed the #1 overall point position in Week 32 and never looked back.  Dutch Roll heads into the 2008 season #1 on the career earnings list.

Round 4

The Mahan/Woods final round battle was not much of a battle at all and Dutch Roll runs away in round 4 to win the first SLS Cup Playoff. 18 Hoes put up a galiant fight through three rounds, but alas Tiger is Tiger and the #1 seed through the regular season and #1 on the 07 Money List puts the caps on a dominating Rotoff season.

(And I thought it wouldn’t be a Tiger dominated league. This will be somewhat corrected next season when we go from a snake draft format to an auction. Even still the team with the best player is typically the best team, no matter the sport)

Gonzalez caps off a great season by winning the consolation bracket with a total score of -37, setting the course record, and a score that would have topped Dutch Roll had he been able to sneak past 18 Hoes in the semis. All in all the seeds through the regular season held up in the playoffs.

2007 SLS Cup Champion: Dutch Roll $100.00 (+$55.00 ML)

2007 SLS Cup Runner Up: 18 Hoes $50.00 (+$33.00 ML)

2007 SLS Cup 3rd Place: Gonzalez $30.00 (+$28.00 ML)

2007 SLS Cup 4th Place: Sand Crabs $15.00 (+$26.00 ML)

Congrats to Dutch Roll for a being the first to drink from the SLS Cup. The SLS Cup will be presented next week in Vegas! Look for a write of of the Cup presentation here in the next few weeks as well as a look ahead to the 2008 Rotoff season.
