2008 Rotoff Golf Draft Auction

I am pleased and excited to announce that the 2008 Rotoff Golf Draft Auction date is finalized. The first Rotoff Golf league will be meeting later this month to bid their PGA teams for the 2008 Rotoff Golf season.
Date: Saturday December 22nd
When: 3 pm pt.
Where: Chuey’s
Each team will get 100 units to bid on 10 golfers. The least a golfer can go for is 1 unit. You can bid as high as you want for any single golfer as long as you have enough units left to purchase your remaining golfers at 1 unit each. Golfers will be nominated for auction in reverse order of the previous years standings, so the team that finished in last place will nominate the first golfer. New teams joining the league will be added to the end of the draft order. The draft order (nominations) goes in a snaking order but the teams on the ends do not get two nominations back to back.
When a golfer is nominated their bidding starts at 1 unit. Teams can now bid on the nominated golfer until no one else bids on them. Thirty seconds with no bids closes the bidding. That golfer then goes to the closing bidder for the amount bid. If no one bids on a golfer after their nomination the golfer goes to the nominator for 1 unit.
Once a golfer is bought the next team in the draft order nominates a golfer. This continues until every team has 10 golfers. Once a team has 10 golfers they can no longer nominate.
The draft order for the 2008 Rotoff Golf Draft Auction will be as follows:
1. Shlink Lincoln
2. Slaughter
3. Golf Cheese Hoes
4. Kinzler
5. Romig
6. Sand Crabs
7. Gonzalez
8. 18 Hoes
9. Dutch Roll
10. Honma
The 2008 Rotoff Golf Draft Kit will be available next week and I will send it out to league memebers when it is completed.
