Round 6
Stenson’s Match PLay victory helps Romig get his second Win ($4.00) of the season, moving him to 1st on the Money List with $11.00. Immelman’s consolation win gives 18 Hoes the RU ($1.00) and moves past Gonzalez into 2nd on the Money List.
Round 5
Ogilvy and Stenson are on to the final, propelling Gonzalez and Romig into a match for the Win. 18 Hoes and Shlink Lincoln still have a shot at the RU, depending on the consolation matchup tomorrow.
Round 4
Campbell, Immelman, Ogilvy and Stenson advance to the final four. 18 Hoes and Romig are currently tied for 1st place, with Gonzalez and Shlink Lincoln not far behind. Dutch Roll and Golf Cheese Hoes are eliminated.
Round 3
Golf Cheese Hoes has the best round of the day for the third consecutive day with 8 pionts (Ames and Rose advancing) and remains on top of the leaderboard. Five points off the lead and in 2nd place is Dutch Roll, but without Tiger for the rest of the tournament. Golf Cheese Hoes is the only team with two golfers still in the field. Only one team was eliminated today, Slaughter. All other teams still have a shot at the Win/RU.
Round 2
The best round of the day goes to Dutch Roll and Golf Cheese Hoes, both with 6 points. Golf Cheese Hoes takes the lead after two rounds. Gorilla Biscuits and Sand Crabs are eliminated, leaving 7 teams alive for the Win/RU.
Round 1
Overall Point leaders Romig (#1) and 18 Hoes (#2) are both perfect on the day as well as Golf Cheese Hoes. Tough break for Kinzler as his only golfer is knocked out in round 1. I’m sure Kinz will bounce back next week, and with no bonus points this week he won’t lose too much ground.
Match Play Scoring Format
Round 1 win = 1 point
Round 2 win = 2 points
Round 3 win = 4 points
Round 4 win = 8 points
Round 5 win = 16 points
Consolation Win (3rd place) = 16 points
Round 6 win (Champion) = 32 points
At the end of the tournament the team with the most MP (Match Play) points gets the win and 10 Roto points. The team with the second most MP points gets the RU and 9 Roto points. The team with the 3rd most MP points gets 8 Roto point, team with 4th most MP points gets 7 Roto points, etc. Because scoring is set up to reward the team that has the winning golfer, there are NO bonus points in Match Play.
The tiebreaker for Win/RU will be most points Round 6 - Round 1. The team with the most points in Round 6 (of the teams tied) gets the Win/RU. If points are tied for Round 6, it goes to Round 5, if tied for Round 5 it goes to Round 4, etc. until the tie is broken. Tiebreakers will only apply to dertermine the Win/RU.
