Note: The tiebreaker for Wins/RUs is playoff holes from the scorecard of your active golfer in round 4. Starting from hole 18 and going backwards, the best single hole score to break the tie wins the tiebreaker and gets the Win/RU. For example if two teams tie for first place in the tournament, it would then go to their active golfers round 4 scorecard hole 18. If both golfers have the same score it goes to hole 17, this continues until the better single hole score wins.
If there is a playoff for the Win then the loser of the playoff gets the RU. If there is a tie for the RU then the loser of the playoff finishes 3rd and does not get RU $. If two golfers should have the exact same round 4 scorecard then the tiebreaker goes to Round 3, Round 2, etc. The tiebreaker applies to all Win/RU tie scenarios (i.e 3 way tie, 4 way tie, etc.) but do not apply for any other positioning on the leaderboard. Roto points will remain tied.
Round 3
The battle brews on. Sand Crabs is holding on to a slim lead heading into the final round, with Romig and Shlink Lincoln just one stroke back. Round 3 saw the first bogeys in best ball scoring, as well as a slew of birdies on the back 9. The best round of the day goes to Romig and Shlink Lincoln, both w/ a best ball -8. There are six teams within seven strokes going into the final round, with only 2 strokes separating the top 4 teams. Each team is down to one golfer for round 4. It’s going to be an exciting finish! Stay tuned here tomorrow for live scoring updates, posted every 15 minutes.
VJ is on fire and has a three stroke lead after three rounds, with Adam Scott making a charge on Saturday to get into second place.
Round 3 FC
Stuart Appleby, Jim Furyk, Geoff Ogilvy, Davis Love III, Carl Pettersson and David Toms.
Round 2
There were a lot of birdies in Round 2, and one eagle coutesy of VJ. A showdown is brewing for the weekend, as there are six teams within five strokes of the lead. The best round of the day goes to J.B. Holmes and Trevor Immelman, both into the clubhouse w/ a -5. J.B. had streak of 4 striaght birdies, keeping Shlink Lincoln within reach of the win. Sand Crabs remains on top with a solid round of -8, tied for the best ball round of the day. It’s down to doubles play for Round 3.
Round 2 FC
Chad Campbell, J.J. Henry, Rod Pampling and Rory Sabbatini.
Round 1
Sand Crabs shoots to the top of the leaderboard on the heels of Rory Sabbatini’s torrid back nine. Rory had 4 birdies on the back nine to get back into the mix. One shot back is Golf Cheese Hoes, with a little help from Co-leader Stephen Ames. Romig is hanging around despite only two starting golfers this week. Everyone is still in contention going into round 2. I look forward to another round of exciting golf tomorrow.
Round 1 FC (fantasy cut)
Ben Curtis, Tim Herron, Arron Oberholser and Dean Wilson.
