2007 AT&T Classic Preview

If Phil keeps up his great play of late (Win and two top 3 finishes since hiring Harmon as his swing coach) we could be in for an incredible golf summer. A Tiger/Phil major final pairing is looking more and more feasible, well as long as Tiger holds up his end of the deal.
No Tiger or Phil this week at the AT&T Classic (formerly the BellSouth Classic). Phil is the defending champion but won’t be on hand to defend, which leaves the door wide open for just about anyone to step up and get a win this week.
Not a lot of people will be tuning in this week with no big names in the field. But it’s the smaller fields that sometimes produce the best dramas on Sunday. Stewart Cink is coming off a top 3 finish at the Players (66 on Sunday) and Masters champ Zach Johnson will be the favorites to win. Watch out for Chris DiMarco too, he played brilliant last week, save for his putter. If Chris can make some putts (which the greens will play easier then Sawgrass) he will definately be in contention come Sunday afternoon.
AT&T Classic
TPC Sugarloaf - Duluth, Georgia
But my guess is that a relative unknown will sneak up for the win this weekend. Now who that will be is hard to say, as you know my record on picking winners………………….
Charlie Hoffman by a nose.
